Coincidence?
It is so crazy how big God is and how He puts the little things in life to connect to one another, even though one may think that he/she are doing things out of the ordinary but in the long run have a specific purpose. I have been able to see how the little monotonous activities in my life have been used for greater things and to help others out. It is encouraging to look back and see what/how God has worked in your life and placed the small things that seem like coincidence in your life to realize how great of a God we serve. I do believe that all things happen for a reason, even though we have no idea why they do; but God has a greater plan than we can ever comprehend. I am so glad that the things I choose to do in my life play a more important role in the long run and am able to see how truly I am loved by God when the bigger picture is layed out in front of me.

COUCHSURFING!
Going to a different country, exploring a society that is completely new, meeting new random people, sleeping for free, going to local places, couchsurfing is the thing....
couchsurfing.com
Couchsurfing mission: As a community we strive to do our individual and collective parts to make the world a better place, and we believe that the surfing of couches is a means to accomplish this goal. CouchSurfing isn't about the furniture- it's not just about finding free accommodations around the world- it's about participating in creating a better world. We strive to make a better world by opening our homes, our hearts, and our lives. We open our minds and welcome the knowledge that cultural exchange makes available. We create deep and meaningful connections that cross oceans, continents and cultures. CouchSurfing wants to change not only the way we travel, but how we relate to the world!
What better way to experience a new community than to live with the people that make up the society. I love this idea and all that it contains. Couch surfing parties and people are so cool. I have couchsurfed once and it was a lot of fun even though I forced my friend to, and she secretly loved it.

Trinidad and Tobago

Statistics (according to the UN Statistics Division)
Total land surface area: (sq km) 5130
Number of threatened species: 38
Population: 1,305,000
Calling code: 1-868
People referred as Trinidadians or Tobagonians
informally: Trinbagonians
National Language: English
Religion: Roman-Catholics (26%)
Hindus (22%)
The last statistic is why I will be living in Trinidad and Tobago for about a month. I will be leading a group of 25 seniors in high school for a month to T&T. I am very excited to see what God does for the group of students that we will be taking as well as the effect that we will have directly on the people of T&T. I know God has a direct and perfect plan for this group, but I just pray that we will continue to seek after what God wants from us and that we will be prepared to share the gospel with those that want to know God. I believe that there is a place for short term missions trips and that God will provide the funds and the guidance for each individual that is planning on going on this trip. God said, "go and make disciples of every nation" and we are living out what we are purposely called to do.

Bruce Springsteen...

Thunder Road
The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again , I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside, darling, you know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking that maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright
Oh, and that's alright with me
You can hide 'neath your covers and study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers, throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a savior to rise from these streets
Well now, I ain't no hero, that's understood
All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey, what else can we do now?
Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair
Well, the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back, heaven's waiting on down the tracks
Oh oh, come take my hand
We're riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh oh oh oh, Thunder Road
Oh, Thunder Road, oh, Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey, I know it's late, we can make it if we run
Oh oh oh oh, Thunder Road
Sit tight, take hold, Thunder Road
Well, I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk
And my car's out back if you're ready to take that long walk
From your front porch to my front seat
The door's open but the ride ain't free
And I know you're lonely for words that I ain't spoken
But tonight we'll be free, all the promises'll be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes of all the boys you sent away
They haunt this dusty beach road in the skeleton frames of burned-out Chevrolets
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines rolling on
But when you get to the porch, they're gone on the wind
So Mary, climb in
It's a town full of losers, I'm pulling out of here to win
I have this vision of a black and white music video for this song, somewhere in a open field, I know someday I will accomplish this dream.
My favorite verses: Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair
Well, the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere
I cant wait to let my hair blow in the wind at night not having a care in the world or knowing where I'm going.

so, what are you doing with your life?

I absolutely love the question, "so, now that you have graduated what are you doing with your life?" I seem to get that a lot lately, by friends, parents, relatives, anyone that I come into contact with and mention that I am a recent graduate. To point out the obvious, the economy is doing great and there are a lot of job opportunities available, I just don't want to get a job. On the other hand, the economy is not doing so good and every business possible I feel is on a hiring freeze, except for Its a Grind which I almost applied for except that it would be an hour long commute. So, whenever people ask me that question, I usually just say that I am living the dream by not doing anything what-so-ever. I have to learn to be content with where ever I am right now which is a hard thing for me to do, but know that God is in control of my life and He has a greater plan than I can't wait to live out. So next time I get asked that question, I am just going to tell people its a phase of life that I am waiting to get out of and see whats next on the list.

New at this...
So, everyone that I know has a blog, and I have enjoyed reading people's, so I decided to start my own. I am not good at keeping up with things like this, but I hopefully will continue to write and write.
